A grade transcript shows a summary of attended classes and achieved grades in respect to a student’s current or past enrollment at the YPM Music School. A grade transcript is accompanied by a signed letter stating the student’s name, registration number, birth date as well as year of enrollment, current status and where applicable, program and year of graduation.

Requesting a Grade Transcript

    • A grade transcript may be requested through our administrative offices either in person, by phone, by email or other means of communication. A grade transcript is an original document and must be picked up in person from the same location where the request has initially been made.
    • Grade transcripts are issued free of charge.
    • Please allow 7 days for processing.

A status confirmation letter states the status of a student and his/her current enrollment at SMYPM. If the request is made from a faculty member, the letter states his/her current employment status at the YPM Music School.

Requesting a Status Confirmation Letter

    • A status confirmation letter may be requested through our administrative offices either in person, by phone, by email or other means of communication.
    • A status confirmation letter is an original document and must be picked up in person from the same location where the request has initially been made.
    • Depending on the letter’s intended use, additional information must be provided such as passport number and travel dates in case the letter serves to support a visa application.
    • Status confirmation letters are issued free of charge.
    • Please allow 7 days for processing.

Due to their involvement at the YPM Music School, students may find themselves caught in situations which conflict with obligations imposed by their formal schools. Most of the time conflicts arise due to overlapping schedules such as may be the case during SMYPM final examinations. Conflicts may also be caused by requests to grow finger nails (guitar majors) or to protect a sensitive neck with a scarf (voice majors) which may go against the policies upheld in some public schools.

While the YPM Music School has no right to impose its requirements onto other institutions, we can issue a letter which the student can present to the institution in question explaining his/her situation and to request consideration.

Requesting a Letter of Consideration

    • A letter of consideration may be requested through our administrative offices either in person, by phone, by email or other means of communication.
    • A letter of consideration is an original document and must be picked up in person from the same location where the request has initially been made.
    • Please supply us with relevant information such as name and address of the institution, name of recipient and conflict you wish us to address.
    • Letters of consideration are issued free of charge.
    • Please allow 7 days for processing.

Official documents issued by the YPM Music School such as grade reports, certificates or diplomas are published only once. Should you require duplicates you may xerox them and bring them to us to have them stamped and verified as true reproductions of the original.

Requesting Verification of Reproduced Original

    • The request to have a reproduced original verified can be done through our administrative offices either in person or by email. Once verification has been completed, the documents must be picked up in person from the same location where the request has initially been made.
    • The request must be accompanied by all the reproduced documents you wish to have verified as well as their respective originals.
    • Documents you wish to have verified must be in good condition and should not be folded.
    • Verification is done against a fee in the amount of IDR 5,000.- for each duplicate.
    • Please allow 7 days for processing.

Consultation and counseling services are available to help navigate between matters related to the YPM Music School and the manifold intricacies of daily life. They are provided by professionals (academic counselor, doctor, psychologist) and are available free of charge to all of our registered, active students and their parents as well as to our faculty and staff.

Requesting Consultation / Counceling

    • Appointments can be made through our administrative offices both at SMYPM Manggarai as well as at SMYPM Bintaro.

At times students may find themselves in difficulty to understand a given academic subject. Rather than to risk being left behind, our students are encouraged to apply for tutoring which can support the student’s needs in a more personalized manner. Most of our selected tutors are themselves active students at SMYPM having shown exceptional understanding and mastery in the given subject.

The request for a student to receive tutoring may be initiated either by the class teacher or by the student/parent. Either way, the decision for the student to apply for tutoring should be the result of a discussion between all parties involved. Depending on the student’s need, tutoring may last for 1 or 2 months.

Request to Receive Tutoring

    • The request to receive tutoring can be done through our administrative offices.
    • Tutoring is provided against a monthly fee. Please contact our administrative office for further information.

The YPM Music School recognizes students in financial need and may be able to provide financial support in the form of granting the delay of a payment or by lifting certain or all payment obligations either partially or in full. Requests for financial aid are carefully reviewed and take into consideration severity of the student’s need and proof thereof, the students academic standing and disciplinary records, the result of a personal interview with the student’s parents as well as the fiscal limitations of the YPM Music School.

Any form of financial aid is subject for review at the end of every academic year.

Requesting Financial Aid

    • Active students may apply for financial aid by filing a request form available through our administrative office. Submissions should preferably be submitted before the onset of a new academic year.

The bursar’s office, better know as “Loket”, is where we service your financial transactions. Although most payments may also be initiated through online banking, the bursar’s office is ready to assists you should you wish to make your payments in person.

Active students who find themselves in a situation where they cannot practice at home have the opportunity to use a specially designated practice room at our music school. Furnished with an upright piano, note stand, foot stool and other accessories, our practice room is available from May until the end of January during official school hours.

Requesting a Practice Room

Use of our practice room may be requested through our administrative office either in person or by phone. Booking can be done up to 1 week in advance with requested practice times ranging from 30 minutes to a maximum of 2 hours per day.

Use of our practice room is offered against a fee in the amount of IDR 50,000.- per 30 minutes.

We maintain a fairly extensive library containing music scores as well as text books and other media. While text books and other media must be enjoyed on premise, most music scores are available for sign-out to active students as well as to our faculty members.

Our library can be accessed through our administrative offices and is open during official office hours.

Sign-out of music scores is provided against a fee in the amount of IDR 500.- per book per week.
Late returns will be charged a fee in the amount of IDR 2,000.- per item per day starting on the 1st day the item has become overdue.

People interested in applying for work at the YPM Music School are welcome to do so by submitting their application either in person or through postal or electronic mail to the Human Resource Department of the YPM Music School.

The YPM Music School is actively promoting the creation of new musical works, some of which are published under the “Pustaka YPM” label available exclusively through the YPM Music School.
