Application period for new students takes place during the months of February / March each year and lasts approximately 3 weeks. Late applications may be still considered under certain circumstances.

Exact dates for registration as applicable to the forthcoming new academic year will be listed in our academic calendar a few months prior to the event. Dates, though unlikely, are subject to change. We recommend you consult our academic calendar.

The following instruments are being taught at the YPM Music School:

• Piano
• Violin
• Guitar
• Flute
• Voice

Please note: Our curriculum is focused on western classical music.

Applications can be submitted through our Online Application Form but must ultimately be completed in person by the applicant’s parent or legal guardian (or the applicant if he/she is of legal age).

Following requirements must be completed:

• Application form (completed and signed)
  Application form can be obtained free of charge from our administrative offices
• Short questionnaire (completed and signed)
  You will find the questionnaire attached to the application form
• 1 photo copy of the prospective student’s birth certificate
• 2 passport pictures of the prospective student 4cm x 3cm in size, preferably in color
• Payment of audition fee

Applications are considered complete only if all of the above requirements have been met and received by the administration.

Additionally, applicants who apply for entry into grade 5 of the Basic Education Program or higher are asked to submit a copy of the scores to their music no later than 1 day before the scheduled audition date. Detailed information on required repertoire can be found here.

The audition fee is a one-time fee due at time of application into the YPM Music School and is non-refundable.
