


The instrument major builds the core of a student’s education at the YPM Music School and to some extent affects academic requirements during the course of the student’s active enrollment.

Instrument lessons are always held in the form of one-on-one sessions (1 teacher – 1 student) and vary in length and weekly frequency depending on the student’s current grade.
Lesson times are arranged directly between the student and his/her respective major teacher.
Newly accepted students have their major teacher assigned by SMYPM. They may request transfer to another teacher starting at the beginning of their 2nd year of enrollment at SM YPM.
All of above mentioned instrument majors follow our western classical oriented curriculum.
